Paediatric & Family First Aid

Do you work with children and need to have a Paediatric First Aid qualification that fully meets Ofsted & EYFS requirements? Having the correct Paediatric First Aid provision is not only a statutory requirement for the majority of childcare providers, it is extremely important for the safety of children.

The Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it is been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders. 

This qualification is aimed at those working in an early years setting who require a first aid qualification for emergency paediatric first aid. The QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First aid (RQF) meets the requirements for those working in an early years setting, 


This is the online part one of this regulated qualification, you need to also complete the practical part two before you can receive your regulated qualification. Following successful completion of the online learning you can complete Part two, which is delivered in the classroom

TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) Blended Part 2 for those who have completed the online part, if you are registering with Ofsted you will need our full two days or one day online followed by one day in the classroom


An Anaphylactic shock, or anaphylaxis, is a life-threatening, serious allergic reaction to an allergen such as food substances or insect stings. If it is not treated appropriately, it may cause death. This training is for qualified First Aiders. 

This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties. Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Certified Courses

All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements. The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.


This first aid for schools course is designed to be used for inset training in schools. It is very important that the teaching and support staff know basic first aid and this course covers all the basics.

Aimed at anyone who cares for children but does not require a full qualification. The course covers the basics that carers are likely to come across before a main first aider is on the scene.

First Aid for Teachers is designed to provide a basic understanding of first aid for conditions that they may encounter when looking after children. primary and secondary care skills

The Ofsted requirements for Nannies and Au Pairs depend on whether registration is required. If you choose to register, in most cases people working with children including Nannies, Au Pairs, Childminders, Nursery Workers and Childcare Workers still need the 2 days 12-hour course to meet the requirements. If you are looking at also entering other childcare sectors, then the full 2 days or our blended paediatric course would be best.

We have designed this course for those who have the 2-day Paediatric course whether our blended version or the full classroom course who require an annual update to refresh their skills. Keeping your skills fresh is important with any type of first aid, particularly with Paediatric first aid. All our first aid courses fully meet the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements. 

This course covers Paediatric Basic Life Support skills and includes skills for Child and Infant as well as healthcare variations on infant CPR. The course includes Safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression-only CPR, CPR handover and choking. This is ideal for nurses, care workers or medical professionals needing annual updates to complete professional membership. 

Parent First Aid is aimed at any new or existing parent who wants to learn the basic first aid skills for infants and children. We also have a family first aid course which covers the adults first aid, this course is offered on our open course calendar and can be arranged for groups

First Aid for Family Emergencies

We have found that many families and parents do not know the basics of first aid and do not really know what to do if they come across an accident or serious illness. Learning these basic life-saving skills is easy with the ProTrainings Family First Aid course.

This course will cover  immediately life-threatening conditions like a cardiac arrest to less urgent problems like minor injuries. You never know when something could happen, so learning now will prepare you to deal with an emergency situation should it arise.
