Why Asbestos Awareness Training Matters
Maintenance and refurbishment work can disturb asbestos-containing materials if the risks are overlooked. Awareness helps workers understand where asbestos may be found and why they should seek advice before disturbing suspect materials.
Asbestos awareness training builds understanding of the health risks, how to avoid exposure and what to do if asbestos is unexpectedly encountered. It helps workers and supervisors recognise when to stop work and report concerns.
At OHSS, we focus on clear, relevant learning that connects to the tasks your team carries out. Awareness training helps people avoid disturbing asbestos; it does not qualify them to work with or remove asbestos-containing materials.

In-House Asbestos Awareness Training
Bring your team together for asbestos awareness training at your workplace, reducing travel and making discussions relevant to the buildings and tasks they encounter.
Sessions explore where asbestos may be found, the risks of disturbing it and what to do if suspect materials are encountered. Learning can support your existing procedures for checking asbestos information and reporting concerns before work begins.
Training To Suit Your Team
Suitable for workers and supervisors involved in maintenance, refurbishment and other tasks that could accidentally disturb asbestos-containing materials. This is awareness training and does not include practical work with asbestos.
